THE ENVIRONMENT

As the paradise described in Chinese poet Tao Yuanming's poetry, Puding is located in a quiet and spiritual place which is different from the Kenting that people used to know. Drive along the famous way "Ping-Er Road" to Kenting National Park, turn left up to the hill at 41 KM. Driving through the green trail is like leading you to a fairyland, you'll see extensive view of grasslands with swaying grass, and endless ocean with clear blue sky. The ocean is shining with light sparkling under the sunshine, just like most mischievous elfs dance and play out there.

Montain and ocean views are the most valuable treasures that Puding has. The green of the landscape provide shelter for flora and fauna that are as diversely rich as its land and gently tell the story about the four seasons. Ladybug's beautiful color is the best decoration to the green lands in spring. Restless grasshoppers keep bustling in summer. Elegant egrets appeare in autumn and clean up the grasshoppers unperturbedly. In mid-autumn, migratory birds come; red-tailed shrikes, grey-faced buzzard eagles, goshawks and other migratory birds, and little larks, golden doves are partying in the grasslands. The season wind, downslope wind (Lhosanfung), occurs in winter; then, ladybugs will be back again when season wind dropped to start a new circle of four seasons.

By the way, there are dry grass rolls in Puding harvest three to four times per year. Sometimes, you'll see one or two dogs are running in the field chasing the dry grass rolls; in contrast with extensive view of grass lands, they look just like two lions running in African prairie.

Here is a paradise with many heart touching experiences when you feel it by heart. The villagers are self-sufficient by fishing and growing vegetables with the most simple and sweetest smile on their faces. A beautiful day starts when you watch the sunrise in the early morning.
